CUARTETO GIANNEO / SPANISH

CUARTETO GIANNEO is conformed by Luis Roggero and Sebastián Masci in violins, Julio Domínguez in viola and Matías Villafañe in violoncello has been distinguished with the award “Best Chamber Music Ensemble of 2007 and 2009 “The Argentine Society of Music Critics”.
It was created in 2000, since then, they have been developing an arduous activity within the framework of chamber music, accentuating the interpretation of Argentine authors repertoire, excelling as a true specialist in the aforementioned repertorie.
Besides, they explore the international repertory, specially devoting to the interpretation and diffusion of little known works and composers.
CUARTETO GIANNEO members hold hierarchical positions in the most relevant orchestras of Argentina. At the same time they develop an important activity as soloists and as such, they have received several national and international awards and recognitions.

He has also performed for the Mozarteum of Uruguay and Argentina, and as representatives of the Argentina in the 2010 Cervantino Festival in Mexico.
CUARTETO GIANNEO has made performances in the most important concert halls of Argentina: Teatro Colón, Teatro Argentino of La Plata City, Teatro San Martín, Fernández Blanco Museum, Metropolitano Museum, Arte Decorativo Museum, National Library, and Teatro of San Nicolás City, among others.
Besides, they have been invited by the Embassy of the Czech Republic the Embassy of Poland an Embassy of Slovakia in Argentina to perform homage concerts to their national composers, interpreting as Latin-American première works by Bohuslav Martinu, Fèlix Dobryinski and the Argentinean premiere of the String Quartets by Karol Szymanowski among others.

They have presented their first album "Integral for Luis Gianneo String Quartet" volume 1 for the "Tradition" label, and have recently presented their second CD declared "Cultural Heritage" by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires CD.
